Comparing Content from Different Document Revisions

Each time a new revision is created, the system maintains a reference to the previous revisions in the Document History link > Document History tab. A comparison of the revisions can be performed from the application.

NOTE: The document type must be configured to keep a copy of every build in order to use this functionality. See Configuring Document Type to Keep A copy of Every Build for configuration information.

  1. From the Document record, in the document tree on the left side of the record, click the Document History link.
Result: The Document History window is displayed.
  2. Click the icon next to the revision to be compared.
Result: The document is displayed. All differences between the revision being accessed and the selected revision are marked.
